Biosketch 

David Preiss is an educational and cultural psychologist. Currently, he is a Professor at the School of Psychology of the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile. He received his Ph.D. in Psychology from Yale University, which he attended as a Fulbright Scholar. He did his undergraduate training in Psychology and Sociology at the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile. During the last 20 years, he has studied instructional processes at elementary and middle school as well as individualdifferences in creativity. He has more than 50 scholarly publications, including peer-reviewed papers, edited books, book chapters and public policy papers. In addition to his academic work, he has published five books of poetry. He is a fellow of the Association for Psychological Science and a board member of the journal New Directions for Child and Adolescent Development.
