How is the aid sector using VR to transform Safeguarding culture?
Christophe Mallet, co-founder of the soft skills VR simulator BODYSWAPS will present the case study and demo of Safeguarding VR. Developed with the Humanitarian Leadership Academy and currently piloted by the UNHCR, Save the Children and the International Labor Organisation, Safeguarding VR is experience designed to empower aid workers to practice conversations with safeguarding survivors. Inspired by recent research on embodied VR and behavioral change, this unique format aims to impact learners on an emotional level and both self-awareness and confidence by encouraging practice and perspective-taking exercises.
