Julien Cestac est ingénieur de recherche en psychologie sociale. Il exerce une fonction de chercheur à temps plein depuis 2009. Il s’intéresse principalement à l’effet des valeurs personnelles et des interactions sociales sur les comportements, ainsi qu’aux processus d’autorégulation, en particulier concernant les comportements liés aux risques. Julien Cestac développe des travaux de recherche sur trois thématiques principales : le rapport au risque et à la règle, l’étude des comportements à risque et de protection notamment chez les jeunes, l’évaluation des politiques publiques et des innovations en matière de prévention des risques, en particulier dans le domaine de la sécurité routière. Il a soutenu en 2024 son HDR intitulée : « Influence sociale et sécurité routière : le risque et la règle ».

Julien Cestac is a research engineer in social psychology. He has been working as a full-time researcher since 2009. His main areas of interest are the effect of personal values and social interactions on behavior, as well as self-regulation processes, particularly in relation to risk-taking behavior. Julien Cestac’s research focuses on three main themes: attitudes to risk and rules, the study of risk-taking and protective behaviors, particularly among young people, and the evaluation of public policies and innovations in risk prevention, particularly in the field of road safety. In 2024, he successfully defended his HDR (Habilitation à Diriger des Recherches, or accreditation to supervise research) entitled: “Social influence and road safety: risk and rules.”
